Wine, Sun and the Sea - Family Vacation
After finishing my last day of classes, I dropped everything and headed to the island with my family for some much needed R&R. We rented a little house in Sooke, which was RIGHT on the water (see below for our AMAZING view!), and spent our days soaking up the sun and drinking the recommended daily intake of wine. Afterwards, we spent a night in Victoria before heading back to Vancouver.
Stay tuned for my next post where I blog about the second (yes, SECOND) vacation I got to take with a very special boy.
This was our view from our rental house on the ocean. Like I said, amazing.
These are my siblings! Even though I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to tell from looking at us.
And these are my parents! They're pretty adorable.
Alyssa and Stuart. I guess they're adorable too. Must run in the family.
The men in our family do not tend to follow the rules. You can't see my Dad in this picture, but don't kid yourself - he's back there.
Victoria harbour, with the Empress Hotel in the back. I didn't actually take a lot of photos this day, so you better like this one.
Our last stop on the island before getting on the ferry was a visit to Buchart Gardens. I'm not one to take a lot of pictures of flowers...
... so I usually make my siblings and their loved ones pose for me.
Just so cute.
Who WOULDN'T take a family photo (minus Alyssa and Stuart) in a glass ball in the middle of a public park?
Our last family photo (minus Susanne, our gracious photographer, and Eric, who had to work this vacation). Thanks Jeff for letting me borrow your gangster hat to protect my stupidly-allergic-to-the-sun face.
That's it everybody! There, that wasn't so bad, was it? At least I didn't sit you down in front of my slide projector.
