Intimate Riverside Kananaskis Elopement: Jason + Meredith

They spend the majority of their time in the mountains, got their engagement photos done there, so it was only fitting that the mountains would be the backdrop for Jason + Meredith to say “I do”.

Like so many other couples, the world-wide pandemic forced them to rethink the wedding they had been planning for months. But that wasn’t going to stop them from committing to forever. With constantly changing rules and restrictions, they went from plan A to plan B and even Plan C, yet you’d never be able to tell based on how perfect the day felt. With the rushing river as their soundtrack and their friends as their witnesses, Jason + Meredith shared communion and sealed their vows with a kiss. And despite the calls for severe thunderstorms, we still managed to squeeze some extra portraits in at a second location in Kananaskis before the rain and hail started to fall.

It wasn’t the day they planned but it was beautiful all the same. Using as many local vendors as possible, these two focused on what was most important to them and skipped the rest. I’ve gotten to know these two well over the past year and am grateful to now call them friends. I was so honoured to have been part of their day and can’t wait to celebrate with their friends and family next year!
