Choosing a location for your ceremony
Choosing a location for your ceremony
Whether it's on top of a mountain, beside the ocean or underneath the apple tree in your childhood home, when it comes to choosing a space for your ceremony the sky is the limit. There's so many options to choose from as all you need is space to hold you, your partner and whoever you've chosen to celebrate with you. Don't be afraid to think outside the box - choose a location that inspires you, that has significant meaning to you and your future spouse, or a space that's just really freaking cool.
Some logistical things to keep in mind when selecting your ceremony location:
Parking (is there enough or will you need to shuttle people in?)
Is it accessible for your guests with mobility issues
If it’s outdoors, do you have a backup plan in case the weather isn’t ideal
How much control do you have over vendors? For example, a church might require that you use their priest to officiate
If the location you have in mind hasn’t hosted a ceremony before(all the better!), there's absolutely no harm in asking the appropriate people. You'd be surprised at the willingness of people to support your vision for your wedding.
