Carstairs Country Wedding: Amy + Zac
Their families had been friends for years - they even grew up playing soccer together. So you can imagine how thrilled everyone was they ended up going with each other to their high school graduation, dating, and eventually agreeing to spend the rest of their lives together.
On a warm summer day, Amy + Zac committed to forever in front of their friends and family. The day went by perfectly - you would never have guessed how stressful the previous months of planning had been (losing their original venue to a fire will do that). Yet, Amy + Zac breezed through the day with smiles on their faces - their day had finally come and they couldn't wait to celebrate with friends and family.
We went back to the same location as their engagement session - the tree that once bloomed cherry blossoms now held apples and made for the loveliest backdrop for their photos (which conveniently sits on the property of their future home). To sweeten the day even further, upon hearing that Zac's family's cat had kittens only THREE days prior to their wedding, we were all in agreement that photos must be taken. I mean, when there are 5 kittens in the litter and 5 people in the bridal party... I'm pretty sure that's meant to be.
Amy + Zac - I hope your wedding was everything you dreamed it would be. Despite the bumps you encountered throughout the planning process, it couldn't have been a more perfect day. Thank you for trusting me to capture these very important memories - it's always such an honour to photograph a fellow photographer :)
