A helicopter wedding was always on my bucket list - but I'll admit, I never thought it would happen only 3 years into my business. So to say I was delighted when Taisa asked if I would be okay to join them for their helicopter wedding was a BIT of an understatement.

They chose to use Alpine Helicopters and I cannot recommend them enough. They were incredibly professional and accommodating, and took us on the most amazing tour through the Rocky Mountains. Everyone's cameras were out as we flew over glaciers, lakes, and even mountain goats. We landed at Marvel Pass, and since the helicopter had to fly back to the base to pick up the remaining guests, we were given bear spray and a radio and were left to our own devices (the pilot assured us that the helicopter "typically scares away the bears"). The helicopter took off, we went down to the lake to explore and take a few extra portraits, and then once we were finished, Taisa and Colin looked at each other and said "well, where should we get married?"

They chose a scenic overlook and with 10 of their friends and family, read their vows and committed to forever. After popping some champagne and sharing well wishes for the newlyweds, we made our way back to Canmore and over to Creekside Villa for their intimate reception.

I can honestly say I was all smiles going through these photos. It was one of the coolest experiences I've been lucky enough to be a part of!
